My Ideal Client

I empower clients to overcome limiting patterns, expand their self-awareness and emotional resilience, and build stronger relationships. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, and low self-esteem.

My Approach to Helping

Even in the face of great suffering, I believe every person possesses the inner wisdom, strength, and resilience to heal, grow, and find fulfillment in their lives and relationships. My role is to help clients tap into their inner resources to create lasting positive change. In therapy, I offer a safe and supportive environment for exploration and healing. My style is warm, collaborative, and relational, drawing from mindfulness-based, somatic, and humanistic therapies. I am committed to practicing with cultural humility and creating a welcoming and equitable space for all.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Gottman Method External link

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples counseling that helps partners improve emotional connection, handle conflicts more effectively, and strengthen their relationship. It focuses on increasing understanding, showing appreciation, and responding positively to each other. By learning better ways to communicate and resolve disagreements, couples can build a deeper, more resilient bond and create lasting emotional closeness.

  • Attachment Theory External link

Attachment theory explores how early relationships with caregivers shape our emotional development and interpersonal relationships throughout life. These early experiences influence how we bond, handle stress, and respond to intimacy and conflict. Gaining insight into these patterns can help us develop greater emotional well-being and healthier relationships.

  • Hakomi External link

Hakomi therapy is a mindfulness-based, body-centered approach that focuses on uncovering and transforming unconscious beliefs and patterns. It encourages clients to explore their inner experiences with curiosity and compassion, guiding them to connect with their bodily sensations and emotions to access deeper insights and healing. This holistic method empowers individuals to develop self-awareness and make meaningful changes, leading to more balanced and authentic lives.

  • Humanistic  External link

Humanistic therapy is a client-centered approach that emphasizes the individual's inherent potential for growth and self-actualization. It focuses on creating a non-judgmental, empathetic, and supportive environment, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and feelings openly. By fostering self-awareness and self-acceptance, humanistic therapy encourages clients to find their own solutions to life's challenges and make meaningful changes. This therapeutic approach values personal experiences

  • Premarital Counseling External link

In premarital counseling, I combine the Gottman Method and attachment theory to help you build a strong relationship foundation. You'll develop practical tools for effective communication, conflict resolution, and emotional support. We’ll also explore how your emotional needs and past experiences shape your relationship, preparing you to navigate challenges and deepen your connection for a lasting, healthy partnership.

  • Anxiety External link

I help clients understand and address the underlying patterns that fuel their fears and worries. Together, we explore the root causes of their anxiety, working to identify triggers and shift unhelpful thought patterns. I guide clients in becoming more aware of their body’s stress responses and support them in finding ways to calm and center themselves. By fostering a sense of internal safety and self-compassion, I empower clients to manage anxiety with greater confidence and resilience.

  • Self-Esteem External link

I help clients uncover and transform the negative beliefs that hold them back. We explore the underlying sources of their self-doubt, working to rebuild a stronger, more positive sense of self. I guide clients in reconnecting with their body and emotions in a compassionate way, fostering a deeper sense of self-acceptance. By cultivating inner security and self-compassion, I empower clients to recognize their inherent value and embrace a more confident, authentic version of themselves.

  • Depression External link

I help clients reconnect with their emotions and uncover what lies beneath feelings of sadness and disconnection. Together, we explore the root causes of their struggles and work through the emotional pain stored in the body.
