My Ideal Client

Moving through any life stage can have its ups and downs, I am here to support, listen, and help facilitate personal, emotional, and spiritual growth through your counseling journey. Whether you are approaching adulthood, have just moved to a new city, working through relationship difficulties, or are in a transitional place I am here to support all of your goals. I primarily work with adults and adolescents.

How I Can Help You

My approach to counseling is integrative, where I pull from different modalities and therapeutic approaches to meet the individual needs of each client. I want to make sure I am adhering to what the client wants and needs, which informs how I practice. I am grounded in a trauma informed person centered model. I believe each client is the expert in their own lives and are the drivers of the therapeutic process. Healing can be held and processed through a strong, trusting relationship, empathy, self-compassion, and unconditional positive regard for each client. I integrate internal family systems, expressive arts therapy, emotion focused therapy, and nervous system regulation techniques into my practice. I also utilize mindfulness practices that can help ground clients into their bodies and the counseling space. I believe that integrating breath-work into the counseling practice is a key component to regulating the nervous system. All clients are welcome.

Why I Became a Therapist

I decided to become a therapist while I was a middle school teacher. I had so many of my students coming to me with their struggles related to anxiety, family life, social issues, relationship issues and everyday life. I felt a strong pull to be able to support and help my students. However, my training was limited to teaching, I knew I wanted to do more. From there I earned a masters in science in counseling so I could learn how to best support those in need of mental health support.
