My Ideal Client

Are struggling with burnout and disconnection in your work and relationships? Maybe you have had a major life change and are having difficulty adjusting. Are you experiencing anxiety and depression and searching for help in making positive sustainable change? I use empathy, humility, and a humor to create the time and space you need to have healing experiences.

My Approach to Helping

I work with individuals, couples, and families from the belief that humans are all inherently good and we are all capable of positive change. The joys and struggles of our lives are relational. I came to this work through personal experience as a partner, mother, co-parent, daughter, creator, and employee. My philosophy is grounded in discovering and understanding our context in the systems we participate in, from our most intimate relationships to our locations in greater society. Illuminating unspoken cultural narratives and finding words for the oppressed, forgotten, and shamed can heal ourselves and society. I use empathy, curiosity, and humility and humor in dialogue to help clients imagine and practice authentic and more fulfilling ways of relating to themselves and others. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which draws from attachment theory. I also use techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help individuals communicate within themselves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in supporting our communities with our special strengths. I volunteer at the Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families. I believe meaningful intimate relationships can take many different forms. I have been active in the polyamory/ethical-non-monogamy and kink communities.
