I work with adults who are experiencing symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety, are overwhelmed with emotions, or are noticing the consequences of unmet childhood needs. I also work with folks who are going through life transitions, exploring identity and spiritual experiences, or feel dissociated from their bodies. My clients are interested in understanding behavior patterns, increasing self-compassion and agency, and releasing trauma and repressed emotions from their bodies.
Specialties
The main models of therapy I use in practice are Integrative Somatic Parts Work, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Existential therapy,, and Emotion Focused Therapy. I take a relational approach to therapy, and place importance of safety, trauma informed care, and communication of client boundaries within the therapeutic relationship at the forefront of my practice. I encourage clients to go at their own pace, and decide what areas of their experience they want to focus on.
Specialties
I have 6 years experience working with folks experiencing symptoms of trauma, presentations of complex PTSD, and attachment injury from unmet needs in childhood. I am drawn to supporting women in navigating through various forms of trauma, including sexual trauma, societal pressures and expectations surrounding physical appearance, abusive relationships, and conditioning surrounding caretaking and placing the needs of others above their own.
PTSD, Sexual Abuse, Women's Issues
This is a once per month, 2 hour peer support group. This is an intimate group, no more than 6 women, where we can learn about and practice releasing trauma from the body. There is power in speaking our truth, building trust, receiving support, and sharing our experiences within a group of women. I ask that you are open and ready to commit for at least 6 months. The charge is $35 per person. The priority is to build safety, share skills, & learn about the impact of social conditioning for women.
