Are you feeling anxious, stuck/restricted, aimless, or unsatisfied? Maybe you struggle with a deep seated belief that you're not good enough? Maybe you struggle with finding and maintaining healthy relationships? Do you hide your true feelings and needs with others? Do you struggle with finding meaning or a sense of purpose in your life? Life can be hard but together we can make it easier.

My Background and Approach

For the past 20 years, I've worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, community health, as a crisis counselor and as a college professor. As an integrative therapist, i draw from several therapeutic frameworks in order to meet your unique needs. My approach integrates neuroscience with psychology to help rewire the brain. I use an intuitive and integrated approach based on trauma-focused principles that restores the mind, the body, and spirit. I have specialized training in EMDR, IFS, CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, EFT & The Gottman Method. I offer services via telehealth for clients residing in Oregon & Washington, and in-person at my office in Hillsboro Oregon. I am also bilingual in English & French.

Why I Became a Therapist

My private practice was born from a deeply personal journey - one of struggle, resilience, & transformation. As a skinny, awkward kid, I knew what it was like to feel invisible, to battle social anxiety, & to carry the weight of rejection & bullying. The pain of those experiences was then compounded by years of trauma which left me feeling stuck, uncertain, & alone. Through my own healing, I discovered the power of self-worth, confidence, & resilience. Now as a therapist, I've made it my mission to guide others on their own path to self-empowerment. My calling is to help people break through self doubt, overcome past wounds, & step into the strong, confident lives they deserve. I help clients turn pain into power, fear into self confidence, & struggle into success. Now matter where you are in your journey, you don't have to do it alone. I'm here to help you show up for yourself, reclaim your confidence, and thrive - even in difficult moments.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • EMDR External link

I am "EMDR trained" by EMDRIA and have also completed numerous specialized EMDR training protocols. In my practice, EMDR is often integrated with other approaches - such as IFS or attachment based therapy to support deeper healing, emotional regulation, and increased self compassion. I also engage in regular consultation with EMDR consultants.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

I am "IFS trained" by the IFS Institute. I completed an extensive 6-month training program and continue to expand my knowledge through various continuing education opportunities. This training helps me guide clients in moving beyond symptom management and toward deep self understanding, emotional freedom, and inner harmony.

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

I've completed extensive training in CBT from the Adler Institute. This training has given me the tools to help clients better manage their emotional responses, break unhelpful cycles and improve their overall sense of well-being.

  • Gottman Method External link

I have completed level one Gottman Method training through the Gottman Institute, a leading research-based approach to couples therapy developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. This training equips me with tools to help couples build stronger, more resilient relationships by improving communication, managing conflict, and deepening emotional intimacy.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • PTSD External link

I specialize in working with clients struggling with PTSD, and the lasting effects of trauma. My approach is grounded in a deep understanding of how overwhelming experiences can shape the nervous system, disrupt a person's sense of safety, and leave lasting emotional imprints. I use a combination of EMDR and IFS to support clients in healing from the inside out. Both are powerful, evidence-based methods for helping clients process traumatic memories without having to relive them in detail.

  • Anxiety External link

I help clients understand and overcome anxiety using a blend of evidence-based & trauma-informed approaches. Anxiety can take many forms - chronic worry, panic, social fears, or physical tension - and often reflect both current stress and deeper emotional patterns. I use a blend of approach that best meets the needs of the client including CBT, EMDR, IFS, ACT, & psychodynamic theory. These help to increase self-awareness, and support lasting emotional growth.

  • Self-Esteem External link

I specialize in helping clients who struggle with low self-esteem, self-doubt, and inner criticism. My approach blends evidence-based and trauma-informed therapies to address the root causes, whether they stem from past experiences, attachment wounds, or internalized messages. My goal is to help clients reconnect to their strengths, develop a more empowering self-narrative, and build lasting confidence from the inside out.

  • Depression External link

I specialize in treating depression with a compassionate, integrative and evidence-based approach that addresses both the emotional systems and the underlying causes. Depression can feel like disconnection, numbness, hopelessness, or self criticism - and it often reflects deeper unresolved pain. My goal is to help you feel more connected, empowered, and capable of creating meaningful change in your life.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I specialize in helping couples & individuals navigate relationship & marriage challenges. Drawing from the Gottman Method, I support clients in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening connection through practical tools. I also use EFT to help couples move beyond surface conflict and access the deeper emotional needs and fears that drive disconnection. Rooted in attachment theory, my work focuses on helping clients feel safer, understood, and emotionally attuned.
