My Ideal Client

My clients' lives are often so filled and busy that it feels wrong or they feel guilt at the idea of rest and slowing down. They are folks who struggle with boundary setting and are often "the helper" in their relationships. My clients have internalized messages that often conflicts with their own ideals about their worthiness, their work ethic, and their ideas of what they deserve in life, they battle internal conflicts of how they want and are able to live their lives.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to psychotherapy is warm, empathic, and relational. I work with people to unpack the conscious and unconscious thoughts and feelings they believe about their experiences. My approach focuses on the mind and the interconnectedness of the body to release stress, anxiety, and trauma and move towards living the life you desire. I do so primarily with the use of somatic therapy, mindfulness practices, and deep dive work.

Why I Became a Therapist

Part of my journey to becoming a therapist was the lack of representation that I couldn't help to see over and over again in this field. People who were unfamiliar with my cultural background and how that impacts relationships. Searching for a therapist who was also Latine and struggling to find people who had openings. I believe that BIPOC individuals have long had to put up with mental health services that do not center our communities and have also historically ignored history and cultures of collectivism because they go against white supremacy and capitalism.
