My Ideal Client

I provide individual therapy for adults seeking support with a variety of concerns such as trauma, loss, grief, low self esteem, and low mood. I help people gain skills that can help them create sustainable change in their life.

My Approach to Helping

My goal in therapy is to help you gain trust in yourself and recognize your unique strengths. I seek to support you in building a sense of empowerment within oppressive systems or challenging situations. What this looks like in the therapy room is me giving information on skills, identifying patterns, supporting you in finding creative solutions, and facilitating emotional processing. I am fully trained in EMDR and also use IFS, CBT, and other evidence based treatments. Throughout this process I utilize a person centered, gentle, and active approach.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

There were several experiences that have led me to the field of therapy. From an early age I could see how a lack of resources, trauma, and mental health stigma impacted my community. I wanted to help change patterns that led to people feeling disenfranchised and discouraged. I use my lived experience as a multiracial woman of color to connect with others who may feel othered or unseen in their cultural experience. Supporting clients with exploration of cultural/racial identity and intergenerational healing has been especially rewarding to me.
