My Ideal Client

Many people I collaborate with are seeking peace and insight amid life's complexities. Together, we create personalized goals to tackle what is most important to you. While some choose traditional talk therapy, others favor creative approaches like painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture to uncover new ways of understanding themselves and their relationships with self and community.

My Approach to Helping

With twenty years of clinical experience, I tailor therapeutic methods to suit your unique needs rather than relying on a single approach. My broad experience encompasses various environments in the helping profession, including schools, foster care, hospitals, and group practices, working with both children and adults. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I assist in exploring the complexities of your intersecting identities and examining how systemic factors influence your journey toward achieving your goals. As a Board Certified Art Therapist, I encourage the use of art-making as a non-verbal means to tackle challenges and reveal desired outcomes. This holistic approach fosters a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you. Art Therapy is also effective via Telehealth. Through my experience, I have discovered that sessions lasting between 70 and 75 minutes offer an enhanced capacity to address clinical concerns compared to the conventional 50-minute sessions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Seeking mental wellness support can be challenging, especially if you've had difficulty connecting with a therapist. My goal is to establish a welcoming environment where you feel truly heard and supported, creating a nurturing space that caters to your needs. Picture a place where you can be your authentic self, without fear of judgment or expectations. That’s what I strive to offer—a refuge for exploration, reflection, and healing. My practice is founded on trust, respect, and authenticity, making sure you feel seen, heard, and supported throughout your journey. I believe that consulting with licensed practitioners is crucial for providing the highest quality care to those I assist. While I may not have all the answers to the challenges that may arise, I am dedicated to finding them. As an artist myself, I recognize the value of engaging in creative activities to gain insights into myself and community.
