My Ideal Client

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you have been in therapy before, welcome. You are right where you need to be and I am so glad that you are taking the brave step in reaching out. I work with children, teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, life transitions, grief and loss, suicidality and self-harm. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community. My specialty is working with eating disorders and those coping with acute or chronic health conditions.

My Background and Approach

I have hold an MA in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling (2023) as well as an MA in Early Childhood Education and Child Life in Hospital Settings (2017). I have experience working with children and adolescents in various inpatient and outpatient hospital and clinic settings. I have several years of experience in working with clients and their families during eating disorder partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. I utilize a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Strengths Based Therapy and HAES (Health at Every Size). I understand that each client's needs may differ from the next and I adapt my approach based on the client and family needs. I believe the most important aspect to the therapeutic process is the relationship between client and therapist.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is joining you through a compassion focused lens. When working together, I will help you understand how your behaviors may have protected you in the past. Together, we can work to let go of harmful behaviors and integrate more adaptive coping mechanisms into your daily life. We will work together to integrate the parts of you that can get you to feeling like your more authentic self.
