My Approach to Helping

As a therapist, I strive to create a welcoming environment for all that walk through the door. I aim for the client to feel like the expert in the room, as they are the person that understands themselves the best. I utilize feminist, multicultural, and affirming approaches to help one better understand themselves and how they deal with day-to-day life. During therapy sessions, I enjoy discussing values and how their unique experiences. I like bringing cultural context into the room, as we are not living in a vacuum chamber and the world around us impacts us every day. My therapeutic approach is often through a multicultural lens, meaning that I take each person’s unique experiences and culture into account when coming up with a holistic view of the individual.
