My Ideal Client

I offer a nurturing and affirming space for clients of diverse backgrounds to explore their concerns. I believe therapy can be used as a tool to navigate life’s challenges. We all have an inner capacity to heal. It is not easy but it is possible. Your healing is worth the effort because you deserve peace and joy. I’m here to support you through your healing process. Together, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery, embracing both the triumphs and challenges that arise.

My Approach to Helping

Building a strong therapeutic relationship based on authenticity, trust, respect, and genuine connection is essential to my approach. Through our work together, we will attend to your body and your mind – the whole you. We are a sum of all our parts and our healing should seek to integrate us and make us feel more whole. I use mindfulness, person-centered practices and other evidence-based approaches to offer support for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, grief, systemic racism, identity exploration, and intergenerational trauma. I hope to guide you as you unlock and magnify the resilience and wisdom within you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I became a therapist to create a space where Black and Brown individuals can find liberation and healing. Growing up as an Afro-Latina immigrant, I witnessed the deep impact of systemic racism, discrimination, and oppression on marginalized communities. These experiences shaped my desire to provide culturally-responsive therapy that honors and validates the unique struggles and resilience of BIPOC individuals. I believe in the power of therapy not just to cope but to dismantle oppressive narratives and systems. My practice is rooted in social justice, equity, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and supported in their healing journey.
