My Approach to Helping

Peter's approach is 100% client-centered. His purpose as a clinician is to support his clients in defining and achieving what they want for their lives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As part of the Kelle DeBruin Counseling team, Peter is passionate about men’s mental and behavioral health, and about pulling down barriers and stigmas that often prevent men from reaching out for help. He’s also dedicated much of his professional career to supporting refugees and immigrants and their families. For his capstone project (much like a master’s thesis) at the University of Colorado, he created a framework for implementing a client wellbeing specialist position at immigration law firms. He is also fluent in Spanish and is currently trying to learn Chinese.
