My Ideal Client

I work with anyone and everyone open to learning about themselves and how to promote & sustain change in their lives. My practice is guided by Collaboration, Creativity, Accountability, Acceptance, & Patience. Whether this is your first time, don't know where to begin, or need help reaching your goals, we will work together to make the change process serve you best. While I work with people across the lifespan, I have a specialty working with adolescents and their family, particularly with OCD.

My Approach to Helping

Our time together starts by exploring your values and learning how we can make the therapy process align best with you, ironing out the wrinkles standing in your way. While our initial sessions together are more structured, later sessions will reflect a structure that best suits you. During our initial consultation, we discuss what you'd like from treatment and see if we're a good fit. Afterwards, during our 50-minute intake session we learn more about each other and establish a treatment plan allowing us to stay mindful of your goals, how we reach them, and how they change. I often encourage my clients to practice certain exercises outside of session to nurture relevant skills and experiences to best serve their treatment goals. Additionally, I reserve multiple reduced-fee slots in my caseload for those needing assistance.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Openness and acceptance of uncertainty is key to how I grow and learn. It allows me to act and learn from experience rather than worry, and find new insights. Whether this leads me to gain unexpected skills and perspective from an eclectic source of hobbies like bouldering, tufting rugs, roasting coffee, or building instruments, to incorporating an eclectic approach to treatment, branching insights and concepts from across disciplines. Among the various things I am interested to learn more about, one example is the intersection of behavioral strategies with music therapy.
