My Approach to Helping

He has 8 years of nursing experience working in emergency departments and ICUs. It was in those environments that he witnessed first-hand the effects of people struggling with mental illness who were unable to get the support before it became a crisis. Realizing the need for mental health services, he continued his education as a PMHNP. His hope is to help people understand what is causing their struggles and how to achieve a higher level of mental health before it comes a crisis. Roger sees psychiatry as a collaboration where the patient brings the knowledge of their lived experiences and unique symptoms while he brings his knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatments. Together they are able to collaborate to create an individualized treatment plan.
