Specialties
My practice specializes in psychological testing and evaluation. I conduct general assessments to clarify a diagnosis (e.g., Anxiety, Depression). However, I have extensive training and experience conducing Autism assessments, ADHD evaluations, Cognitive/IQ, and Learning/Academic testing.
With therapy clients, I like to be tangible, skills-focused and collaborative. We will decide what your goals are together, and I will help you get there. I rely on CBT methods to help clients of all ages change their behaviors, examine their thoughts, and feel better.
I coach parents and families towards their goals with a solution-focused, skills-based approach. For example, for families with a child with a new ADHD diagnosis, I enjoy coaching them towards improved structure, routines, parenting techniques, and problem solving barriers.
Specialties
Anxiety is the most common psychiatric diagnosis in childhood. It is a common part of being a human being. With so much stress, worry, and fear in today's world, I enjoy supporting clients as young as 3 years old to teenagers by helping them develop skills to manage anxiety.
A comprehensive ADHD evaluation should include an examination of sleep problems, anxiety, and other factors that can affect focus and attention. As an experienced psychologist, I can evaluate clients for the core symptoms of ADHD and rule out other concerns. A clear diagnosis should be the cornerstone for a robust treatment plan and supports.
I have completed specialized training in the evaluation and assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). I have completed over 100 ASD assessments and can evaluation children as young as 18 months all the way to adults.
