My Ideal Client

Becoming and being a parent can bring you great joy, and it can also be heartbreaking, lonely and fraught with emotional turmoil. I am passionate about supporting parents all throughout this time of life. This includes people who are pregnant or postpartum, as well as those who have experienced loss or infertility. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, depression or rage, you are not alone. We will work together to get you the tools you need to cope and feeling more fulfilled.

My Approach to Helping

I believe therapy is a collaboration between therapist and client and there are a number of ways to understand a problem and find solutions. My therapeutic approach is grounded in solution-focused treatment, parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practice, within the context of a non-judgmental relationship. My strengths are in using curiosity, warmth and humor (when appropriate) to create a safe space for our work together. You are the expert on your own life and I am here to help you explore and process the hard stuff, build upon your own inner resources and introduce new skills to help you navigate your emotions going forward.

More About the People I Treat

I have a long established career supporting kids and teens and with that, their families. I continue to have room in my practice for young people who are available to meet during school hours. However, through this work and my own journey as a parent, I have also developed a passion to support parents. Parenting is hard work! One of the best gifts we can give our children is the gift of taking care of our own mental health. If you feel stuck or like your own stuff is getting in the way of you being the best version of yourself, or that you lost yourself somewhere along the way, we can work to help you recenter and find your true north again. If you find yourself reacting instead of responding or can't seem to ever relax, we can work together to get you back to living a life that is more grounded and centered. I truly love this work and would be happy to talk more if you have any questions.
