My Ideal Client

My support is often sought by clients who identify as multicultural, LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, 1st/2nd gen folk, neurodivergent folx, and anyone who feels like an "outsider" or who doesn't fit neatly into any one category (even if the client is white or white-passing). I help people navigate both internal and external barriers in order to live as authentically as possible, build deeper self-awareness , and the tools to navigate the complex terrain of being a human in an increasingly chaotic world.

My Background and Approach

The combination of my counseling and six years of healthcare experience as a registered nurse has given me the opportunity to build relationships with people in vulnerable circumstances while embodying an attitude of warmth, curiosity and humor in my work. I have a passion for doing deep work with people. I believe that all people have innate resilience and that true transformative growth can occur for people through thoughtful, intentional counseling that attends to all aspects of the human experience that might arise in the mind, body and spirit In my approach, I enjoy balancing the following: Structure and Play Compassion and Accountability Embodied and Conceptual ways of working I enjoy using models and theories such as Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Existential Humanistic lens to inform my practice, while always prioritizing a flexible approach that honors your individuality.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I know from personal experience what it feels like to have gone to multiple therapists, with often very frustrating results. Many of these therapists were either too "passive", or lacked a framework that could really help me understand the inner-conflicts I was experiencing. Having learned that for many people, including myself, traditional talk therapy wasn't doing the trick, I felt inspired to create a space for clients experiencing these internal-dichotomies, and through the relationship with me as the therapist, healing those conflicts in order to become a more integrated and whole person.
