My Approach to Helping

Attachment-oriented, I draw from training in contemporary psychoanalysis to promote resilience, adaptation and emotional freedom. My work is not solely centered on symptom-reduction, but includes getting to the roots of your turmoil and transforming your relationship to yourself in order to find sustaining relief. I bring mindfulness and body-based awareness into nearly every session, trusting and honoring your inherent somatic wisdom. I am trained in EMDR with advanced training in Flash Technique, both of which are effective via video visits, always within the context of well-established psychotherapy relationship.

My Values as a Therapist

I am diligent in my efforts to be trauma-responsive, radically gender and identity-affirming, and anti-racist. I interrogate my own biases and participate monthly in individual and group consultation to ensure my work is consistent with the values I hold as a person and as a professional social worker. I strive for the day where all of us can celebrate seeking care for our whole selves, body, mind and spirit.
