My Ideal Client

Do you ever feel like life has thrown you one too many curveballs, leaving you stuck or unsure how to move forward? Maybe sitting with those heavy emotions feels uncomfortable, even unbearable at times. It’s okay to feel that way. Sometimes the hardest part is just starting. With the right support, we’ll work through the tough moments together, explore what’s weighing you down, and build a path forward that feels right for you—no pressure, just progress at your own pace.

My Background and Approach

With a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Memphis, I’ve gained experience in both intensive inpatient settings at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and outpatient community environments. I’ve worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and life transitions. I approach therapy as an authentic, collaborative process, where we work together in a space built on mutual respect and gratitude. I’m not here to act as the expert in the room but to walk alongside you as we explore your challenges, strengths, and goals. I aim to meet you where you are, focusing on what’s happening in the moment while helping you build long-term tools for resilience. We’ll explore how life’s challenges impact your mind, body, and emotions, and I’ll provide techniques you can carry with you—whether it’s grounding exercises for anxious moments or strategies to process difficult experiences.

Why I Became a Therapist

Honestly, I feel like being a therapist wasn’t something I chose—it chose me. The love I have for this work is reciprocal. Long before I officially entered the field, I realized I had already been doing the work. I just didn’t know there was a name for what I naturally provided and received in my platonic and non-platonic relationships. Becoming a therapist was one of the best decisions I’ve made because it allows me to keep learning about myself while guiding others. I use cognitive practices (thoughts), somatic techniques (body), and holistic approaches (mind-body connection) to help people grow. How can you not be curious about your own personal development? Therapy helps answer questions like, “What hurts me? What do I love now? Why do I feel this way?” Simply put, I genuinely look forward to helping others answer the same questions I ask myself. **Offering therapy via Telehealth with in-person sessions coming soon in Oregon City**
