My Approach to Helping

I believe people can change and I choose to see the good in everyone. I want to help you with your struggles past or present, to learn to stay present and to keep moving forward. I have trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to treat trauma. I have worked at a partial hospital level of care in the treatment of eating disorders and have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I can provide education to family, friends, partners and parents for ways they can support their loved ones.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College, as well as B.A.'s in Human Development and Family Sciences, and Education from Oregon State University. I have experience working with preschoolers through adults, and in partial hospital and intensive outpatient treatment. My work now is to focus on the struggles with anorexia/restrictive eating, bulimia, binge eating, exercise addiction, body image, comparisons and self-esteem. My goal is to incorporate Health At Every Size, Body Trust and Intuitive Eating to take some of the pressure off and get your supports on board in ways that you will find helpful.
