My Ideal Client

.My clients are often navigating significant life changes and transitions that prompt big questions about their identity and purpose. They may be adjusting to singlehood after a breakup, changing careers, graduating from student to professional life, planning for retirement, undergoing gender transition, relocating, or coming out. On top of these major life events, they may also be grappling with mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, or unresolved trauma. I'm here to support you.

My Approach to Helping

As an experienced therapist my primary goal is to empower my clients to live their most authentic and fulfilling lives. I employ an existential approach, emphasizing the importance of finding meaning in one's daily activities and relationships as essential to thriving. Through our collaborative work, I guide my clients in exploring their identities, values, and beliefs about themselves and others, and how these factors shape their interactions and satisfaction with life. My role is to provide the tools and support my clients need to assert themselves with confidence and self-awareness. By delving into these core aspects of their personal experience, my clients are able to develop a stronger sense of self-understanding and agency, ultimately enabling them to live more purposeful and enriching lives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I understand the impact of transphobia, homophobia and misogyny on our mental health and the challenges we face as a community. I know the anxiety and fear we face is real and I also know we can persevere and still experience the joy of living authentically in spite of it. I strive to create a safe, validating space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and personal journeys with authenticity. Through an integrative, client-centered approach, I collaboratively develop tailored strategies for managing concerns like depression, anxiety, and trauma. This may involve evidence-based therapies combined with holistic, identity-affirming practices. Underlying my work is a commitment to empowering LGBTQIA+ clients to live their most authentic, fulfilling lives. I believe self-acceptance and a strong sense of identity are essential to thriving, and I help guide clients in cultivating these qualities. Reach out, I'm here to support you.
