My Ideal Client

My goal as a therapist is to provide a supportive space where you can develop the skills and perspective necessary to enhance the quality of your life, heal from trauma and shame, and begin to live in greater alignment with your values. I hope to work with folks who seek to better understand, regulate, and monitor their emotions, as well as have a desire to unpack the power dynamics and systemic factors that influence how we experience the world.

My Background and Approach

Using a trauma informed lens to helps my clients explore the familial, relational, and systemic factors that have shaped their experiences. By teaching mindfulness techniques and pulling from different modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, I aim to help you develop awareness of the interactions between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and a greater sense of agency in your personal and emotional life. It is an honor to have the opportunity to collaborate with you on your path to healing and pursuing what living a truly fulfilling life means for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that change is possible and that growth is an inevitable and often painful part of life. Together we will develop the insight and tools that can improve the quality of your relationships and allow you live in a more authentic and intentional way. People are the experts of their own experiences and I see it as a fundamental part of my role to remain non-judgmental in our work together. Using a strength-based therapeutic style centered around your knowledge and experience allows us to find strategies that will best support you in managing challenges such as negative self-image, anxiety, and depression. I value the fundamental importance that trust, humor, and transparency play in this process. My past experience includes working with children, adolescents, and families, survivors of intimate partner violence, those experiencing homelessness, and students with disabilities. I am passionate about social justice and motivated by the vision of liberation for all oppressed peoples.
